Baker Tilly Canada invites you to join as an Accounting Co-op Student in Saskatoon, Emerald Park, or Yorkton, Saskatchewan. The role focuses on assisting in financial statement preparation, tax returns, and audits for small to medium businesses and non-profits.

You will work Monday to Friday during a structured term (8 months), with a schedule that shifts through the year. The firm emphasizes teamwork, growth opportunities, and a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a university co-op program.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with QBO, Caseware, Tax Prep is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements for compilations and reviews.
• Prepare personal and corporate tax returns.

Your role

• Assisting in financial statement preparation of compilations and review engagements for small to medium sized businesses
• Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns,
• Participating in audits of various institutional and non-profit organizations
• Performing other related accounting functions

What you bring to the table

• Must be enrolled in a university co-operative education program
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and an ability to work both independently and in a team
• Experience with computer software such as: Quickbooks Online (QBO), Caseware, Tax Programs (Tax Prep), and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is an asset.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills along with attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop

Term (8-month), Full-time

Your schedule:

Monday to Friday

Jan-June: 8:00am - 5:00pm (1 hr lunch) (40 hrs per week)

July-Aug: 8:00am - 4:00pm (1 hr lunch); (35 hrs per week)
