A leading community organization is seeking a Co-Facilitator for the Y Mind Teen program in Prince George. This role involves delivering support to youth struggling with anxiety through creative and interactive group sessions. Candidates are expected to have a background in mental health, strong communication capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment focused on youth development.

Hours : 2-4 hours per week, plus initial training (must be available for after school hours)
Salary : $31-33 per hour
Reports to : Supervisor, Y Mind Teen & Youth

Nature and Scope :
The YMCA Y Mind Program helps young people experiencing symptoms of mild to moderate anxiety to learn healthy coping strategies and connect with link-minded youth in safe and encouraging group environments.
The Y Mind Facilitator will co-lead this psychoeducation and support group with one other facilitator to help participants learn about their anxiety and discover helpful coping tools through creative activities and discussions grounded in mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The Y Mind Youth program meets for 2.5 hours weekly for 7 weeks. Two Y Mind facilitators are responsible for the intake and screening of 12 group participants, co-facilitation of the program, and delivery of the program.
Reporting to the Y Mind Teen & Youth Supervisor, the Y Mind Facilitator will work collaboratively with other staff and participants. If program participants require additional support, the Y Mind Facilitator will provide appropriate community referrals.
