About the Role

As Clinical Nurse Manager you will coordinate, lead and supervise staff and services within your remit. You will contribute to the development and monitoring of nursing practice standards, initiate quality improvement practices and implement changes to improve the service. You will provide clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence‑based care is delivered to consumers and coordinate the day‑to‑day operations of Next Step clinical services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and clinical oversight to a multidisciplinary team in a community alcohol and drug treatment setting.
  • Develop and monitor standards of nursing practice and lead quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure evidence‑based, consumer‑centred care is delivered across integrated community and outpatient services.
  • Maintain a consumer caseload within an Integrated Service Delivery Model of Care.
  • Build and sustain effective working relationships with external agencies and stakeholders.
  • Recognise and focus on the needs of individuals, families, carers and advocates in partnership to improve alcohol, drug and mental health outcomes.
  • Adaptable to work across multiple integrated clinical service sites based on operational needs.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with advanced clinical experience in drug and alcohol treatment services.
  • Strong track record of leading a clinical team and managing a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Understanding and ability to act within professional boundaries and maintain professional relationships with consumers.
  • Flexible, adaptable and capable of learning in challenging environments.
  • Experience working with consumers presenting with challenging and complex needs.
  • Enthusiastic about working in a multidisciplinary environment.
