Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Heavy Duty Evening Cleaner to perform cleaning of all hard floor surfaces, including areas reachable by ladder or scaffolding, and to remove garbage. The position runs on an afternoon shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.

You will maintain floors, sanitize washrooms, replenish supplies, dust accessible surfaces, and polish metal surfaces, working as part of a team to ensure high standards of cleanliness across facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in floor care and ability to scrub, buff, and polish floors.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Good communication with supervisor, clients and public.
• Clear criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and scrub floors using buffing machines.
• Clean and sanitize washrooms and common areas.
• Replenish supplies as needed.
• Dust reachable surfaces including phones, counters, lights.
• Polish chrome and other polished metal surfaces.

WHAT'S THE JOB?

As a heavy duty evening Cleaner, you will be responsible for cleaning of all hard floor surfaces, the cleaning of all surfaces that must be reached by ladder or scaffolding, and the collection and removal of garbage from drop point to a garbage bin or compactor. This is an afternoon shift 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday to Friday

Your Work Will Include

• Maintaining the floors; the washing/scrubbing of floors is done with hand held or walk behind buffing machines. In open area applications automatic equipment may be used to perform these function
• Cleaning and sanitizing that includes washrooms, common and entrance areas
• Replenishing any used or missing supplies (toilet rolls, hand towels, hand soap)
• Dusting all visible surfaces within reach which includes phone booths, counter tops, pillars, lighting fixtures, window ledges and vents
• Cleaning and polishing chrome and other polished metal surfaces
