Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking an evening Cleaner to maintain floors, surfaces, and clean spaces for staff and clients. You will operate cleaning equipment and ensure areas are tidy and safe, with focus on floor care and sanitation.

The role runs 3:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M., Monday to Friday, with training and opportunities for growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Floor care experience is an asset (scrub, buff and polish floors).
• Able to operate cleaning equipment and machines.
• Able to communicate with supervisor, client and general public.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Clear criminal background check is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the floors; washing/scrubbing with hand held or walk behind buffing machines.
• Cleaning and sanitizing washrooms, common and entrance areas.
• Replenishing supplies (toilet rolls, hand towels, hand soap).
• Dusting visible surfaces within reach (phone booths, countertops, pillars, lighting fixtures, window ledges and vents).
• Cleaning and polishing chrome and other polished metal surfaces.

As a heavy duty evening Cleaner, you will be responsible for cleaning of all hard floor surfaces, the cleaning of all surfaces that must be reached by ladder or scaffolding, and the collection and removal of garbage from drop point to a garbage bin or compactor. 3:00 P.M. TO 11:00 P.M. MONDAY TO FRIDAY

Your Work Will Include

• Maintaining the floors; the washing/scrubbing of floors is done with hand held or walk behind buffing machines. In open area applications automatic equipment may be used to perform these function
• Cleaning and sanitizing that includes washrooms, common and entrance areas
• Replenishing any used or missing supplies (toilet rolls, hand towels, hand soap)
• Dusting all visible surfaces within reach which includes phone booths, counter tops, pillars, lighting fixtures, window ledges and vents
• Cleaning and polishing chrome and other polished metal surfaces
