Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking an overnight Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of facilities in London, Ontario. The role runs 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday to Thursday, focusing on floors, washrooms, classrooms and common areas.

Ideal candidates have a positive attitude, can lift up to 50 lbs, and operate cleaning equipment. Training will be provided and opportunities for career growth are available within the company.

Qualifications

• A clear criminal background check is required for this role.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• Floor care experience is an asset (scrub, buff, polish).
• Able to operate cleaning equipment and machines.
• Able to communicate with manager and supervisor.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors, washrooms and garbage bins to high cleanliness standards.
• Clean classrooms and common areas in your area.
• Sanitize washrooms and entrance areas; replenish supplies as needed.
• Dust surfaces including countertops, fixtures and window ledges.
• Vacuum entrance mats and tough-clean lobby areas.
• Be mindful of WHMIS awareness and safety protocols.

WHAT’S THE JOB?

As a heavy-duty overnight Cleaner, you will ensure the over-all cleanliness of our facilities to the highest level. The overnight shift is 11:00PM - 7:00AM. SUNDAY _ THURSDAY

Your Work Will Include

• Maintaining the floors, washrooms and garbage bins of the facility
• Cleaning of classrooms in your area
• Cleaning and sanitizing that includes washrooms, common and entrance areas
• Replenishing any used or missing supplies in washrooms (toilet rolls, hand towels, hand soap)
• Dusting all visible surfaces within reach which includes, counter tops, pillars, lighting fixtures, window ledges and vents
• Spot cleaning all lobby floors and wash thoroughly as required
• Vacuuming all entrance mats in lobbies
• Knowledge of WHMIS asset , but will train
• Physical Stamina and mobility including the ability to reach, kneel and bend
