Job summary

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited is seeking a Project Coordinator in Ontario to support our project team in coordinating, scheduling, and ensuring successful execution of civil construction projects. This role focuses on organizing project activities, safety, and quality compliance at field sites.

The incumbent will assist the Project Manager with planning, baseline and progress schedules, resource planning, and tracking project finances.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction related fields is considered an asset.
• Previous construction field experience in a Project Coordinator role is considered an asset.
• Valid driver's license and own mode of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with planning, organizing and implementing all aspects of civil construction projects in accordance with project specifications while adhering to safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Assist the Project Manager in building baseline schedules and progress schedule updates.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules for resource planning with the direction of the Project Manager.
• Assist the Project Manager to review and track project financials.
• Track, review, and work with Client/ Engineer to quantify all monthly contract quantities.
• Review and approve vendor and subcontractor PPC's as required.
• Ensure project files and documents are organized and up to date in field binders and digital folders.
• Identify and document additional work throughout the project. Summarize Daily Extra Work Reports (DEWR's) and submit them to clients for approval.
• Prepare documents and track review status for work plans, RFIs, Change Orders, submittals and other documents with Client/Engineers and subcontractors
• Request, organize, prepare and maintain accurate locates
• Accountable for assigned on-site project activities
• Attend site and Client/Engineer/Contract Administrator progress meetings
