What You’ll Do
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on centrifuges, gearboxes, pumps, and associated rotating equipment in our shop and at customer sites (approximately 50/50 split).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures using vibration analysis, precision measurement tools, and technical manuals.
  • Conduct on-site installations, start-ups, and emergency breakdown repairs; ensure equipment meets all operational specifications.
  • Generate detailed service reports in the company CMMS, documenting work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future reliability improvements.
  • Communicate professionally with clients—explain technical findings, provide cost estimates, and manage project timelines to exceed customer expectations.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols at all times, including lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry procedures, and proper PPE usage.
What You Bring
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; Millwright apprenticeship or related trade certification is preferred.
  • 2 years of mechanical maintenance or rotating equipment service experience—centrifuge or industrial machinery background is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read and interpret service manuals, mechanical drawings, and use precision measuring tools.
  • Valid Class G driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally (Ontario, Quebec, Eastern Provinces) with occasional overnight stays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer‑focused attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, climb, and bend for extended durations in both shop and field environments.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and adept at problem‑solving under tight deadlines.

Location & Schedule

Home Base: Waterloo, ON (relocate assistance may be available for the right candidate).

Travel: Up to 50% regional travel throughout ON, QC, and Eastern Provinces (all lodging, meals, and expenses covered).

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; occasional weekends and overtime as required for emergency repairs.
