Consists of Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) who deliver a great customer service experience by demonstrating compassion and empathy towards our residents, family members and team. We embrace a holistic, resident centric approach to care by delivering personalized services at the highest quality.

How YOU make a difference

  • RPNs are responsible for providing planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with the provincial standards of care.
  • RPNs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families and teams with continuous ongoing and effective communication.
  • RPNs implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plans and make changes as required.
  • RPNs complete and ensure resident’s clinical care assessments, care plans and documentation are accurate, up to date and communicate changes as required.
  • RPNs teach, delegate and direct unregulated care providers, providing them with coaching & mentorship.
Qualifications
  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable province
  • Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge
  • Experience working with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferred
  • Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset
  • Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
  • Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft office applications
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
  • Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
