Job summary

On Side Restoration Services Ltd. is seeking skilled Carpenters/Multiskilled Tradespeople to rebuild and restore damaged property after disasters. You will combine carpentry, drywall and painting to return spaces to pre-disaster state.

Qualifications

• 10+ years interior carpentry repairs/restoration experience.
• Ability to lead helpers and train less experienced workers.
• Restoration/rebuild focus (flood/fire damage).
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality.
• Tools and the skills to use them.
• Strong people and communication skills.
• Safety minded.
• Willingness to cross train into other departments.
• Tech-savvy with apps/software.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check.
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Finishing work and fine details, rough and trim.
• Installation, doors, trim, moldings, baseboards and hardware.
• Repairs to wooden structures of all sorts.
• Drywall repairs, mudding, sanding, taping and finishing.
• Brush and roller painting (could include walls, ceilings, trim).
• Insulation and vapour barrier installation.
• Cabinetry (removal, repair, reinstallation).
• Framing.

Carpenters at On Side rebuild and restore damaged personal property anywhere and anytime a disaster strikes. With the goal of getting things back to a pre-disaster state Carpenters or Multi-Skilled Tradespeople use the skills of carpenters, drywallers and painters! If you’re passionate about helping people and skilled at making things right, this is your chance to make a real difference.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $28-$30/hour
