Job summary

On Side Restoration Services Ltd. is seeking qualified carpenters to rebuild and restore damaged personal property after disasters.

You’ll perform finishing work, install doors, trim, moldings, and hardware, and handle drywall and painting to return spaces to their pre-disaster state. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in interior carpentry/restoration with a focus on flood/fire damage, strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and the ability to cross-train.

Qualifications

• 3+ years doing interior carpentry repairs/restoration
• Restoration/rebuild focus (flood/fire damage)
• Attention to detail, passion for quality and pride in the work you do
• Tools and the skills to use them
• Strong people and communication skills
• A safety mindset
• Willingness to cross train into other departments
• Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software)
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to pass a criminal record check
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Finishing work and fine details, rough and trim
• Installation, doors, trim, moldings, baseboards and hardware
• Repairs to wooden structures of all sorts
• Drywall repairs, mudding, sanding, taping and finishing
• Brush and roller painting (could include walls, ceilings, trim)
• Ceiling installation, knockdown and texturing
• Insulation and vapour barrier installation
• Cabinetry (removal, repair, reinstallation)
• Flooring installation and repairs
• Framing

Position Summary

Carpenters at On Side rebuild and restore damaged personal property anywhere and anytime a disaster strikes. With the goal of getting things back to a pre-disaster state Carpenters or Multi-Skilled Tradespeople use the skills of carpenters, drywallers and painters! If you're passionate about helping people and skilled at making things right, this is your chance to make a real difference.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $26-$32/hour

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you'll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
