Job summary

On Side Restoration Services Ltd. seeks a skilled carpenter to rebuild and restore damaged property after disasters. You will perform finishing work, install doors, trim, moldings, drywall, painting, and framing to return spaces to their pre-disaster state.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration or renovation work, focusing on flood/fire damage.

Responsibilities

• Finishing work and fine details (rough and trim).
• Installation of doors, trim, moldings, baseboards and hardware.
• Repairs to wooden structures; drywall repairs, mudding, sanding, taping and finishing.
• Brush and roller painting; ceiling installation and texturing.
• Insulation and vapour barrier installation; cabinetry removal/repair/reinstallation.
• Flooring installation and repairs; framing.

Position Summary

Carpenters at On Side rebuild and restore damaged personal property anywhere and anytime a disaster strikes. With the goal of getting things back to a pre-disaster state Carpenters or Multi-Skilled Tradespeople use the skills of carpenters, drywallers and painters! If you’re passionate about helping people and skilled at making things right, this is your chance to make a real difference.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $26-$30/hour

What You’ll Do

• Finishing work and fine details, rough and trim
• Installation, doors, trim, moldings, baseboards and hardware
• Repairs to wooden structures of all sorts
• Drywall repairs, mudding, sanding, taping and finishing
• Brush and roller painting (could include walls, ceilings, trim)
• Ceiling installation, knockdown and texturing
• Insulation and vapour barrier installation
• Cabinetry (removal, repair, reinstallation)
• Flooring installation and repairs
• Framing

• Refined skills with various in-home renovation repairs/restoration vs new build
• Restoration/rebuild focus (flood/fire damage)

Disasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement. Meaning you’ll work regular weekday hours and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
