On Side Restoration Services Ltd. in Thunder Bay, ON seeks a Carpenter – (Multi-Skilled Tradesperson) to rebuild damaged property after disasters. You’ll apply carpentry, drywall, and painting skills to return spaces to pre-disaster condition.

The role requires 5+ years interior carpentry restoration experience, attention to detail, and a safety mindset. This position includes 24/7 rotating on-call hours, overtime potential, and benefits such as extended health coverage and RRSP with company

Qualifications

• 5+ years doing interior carpentry repairs/restoration.
• Attention to detail and pride in quality work.

• Ability to pass a criminal record check and have a valid driver's license.
• English proficiency, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Finishing work and fine details, rough and trim.
• Installation of doors, trim, moldings, baseboards, and hardware.
• Repairs to wooden structures; drywall repairs including mudding/sanding/taping.
• Painting walls/ceilings/trim; ceiling installation and texturing.
• Insulation and vapor barrier installation; cabinetry repair and reinstall.
• Flooring installation and general framing.

Carpenter – (Multi-Skilled Tradesperson)

Position Summary

Carpenters at On Side rebuild and restore damaged personal property anywhere and anytime a disaster strikes. With the goal of getting things back to a pre-disaster state Carpenters (Multi-Skilled Tradespeople) use the skills of carpenters, drywallers and painters! If you’re passionate about helping people and skilled at making things right, this is your chance to make a real difference.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $30-$35/hour

What You’ll Do

• Finishing work and fine details, rough and trim
• Installation, doors, trim, moldings, baseboards and hardware
• Repairs to wooden structures of all sorts
• Drywall repairs, mudding, sanding, taping and finishing
• Brush and roller painting (could include walls, ceilings, trim)
• Ceiling installation, knockdown and texturing
• Insulation and vapor barrier installation
• Cabinetry (removal, repair, reinstallation)
• Flooring installation and repairs
• Framing

What You Bring

• 5+ years doing interior carpentry repairs/restoration
• Refined skills with various in-home renovation repairs/restoration vs new build
• Attention to detail, passion for quality and pride in the work you do
• Tools and the skills to use them
• Strong people and communication skills
• A safety mindset
• Tech-savvy (comfortable using apps and software)
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to pass a criminal record check
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken
