Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services in Saskatoon is seeking compassionate caregivers for in-home client support. Responsibilities include meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care, following approved care plans and ensuring client safety across Saskatoon North and South areas.

Applicants should have 1 year caregiving experience, English communication skills, a valid Health Care Aide Certification, TB screen and criminal record check, and legal eligibility to work in Canada

Qualifications

• 1 year of caregiving experience required.
• English communication skills required; other languages are a plus.
• Proof of Continuing Care or Health Care Aide Certification.
• TB Screen and Criminal Record Check required.
• Eligible to work in Canada; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care.
• Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Ensure client safety and use equipment properly.
• Maintain records accurately and thoroughly.
• Serve Saskatoon North and South areas.
• Accommodate visit times (700-1500, 1500-2300, 2300-700), weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Service the Saskatoon North and South area
• Looking for all visit times (700-1500, 1500-2300, 2300-700) weekdays and weekends

Requirements

• 1 year previous caregiving experience
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• Proof of Continuing Care or Health Care Aide Certification or equivalent
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check
• Must be able to legally work in Canada to apply for this position
• Valid driver’s license is required
