Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services in Fergus, Ontario is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home support, including meal prep, light housekeeping and companionship. You will follow personalized care plans and work with a Care Designer to deliver safe, respectful care in clients' homes.

We welcome both experienced caregivers and graduates. English communication is required; a valid driver’s license, TB screen and criminal record check are needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year caregiving experience or new graduates welcome.
• English communication skills required (verbal and written).
• Valid driver’s license and immunisation profile.
• Current TB screen and criminal record check.
• Legal right to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship/personal care.
• Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Meet client safety needs and use equipment safely.
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Service the Fergus, Elora, Elmira, Tavistock, Puslinch area and various visit times.

What We Offer

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Service the Fergus, Elora, Elmira, Tavistock, Puslinch area
• Looking for all visit times (700-1500, 1500-2300, 2300-700) weekdays and weekends

Requirements

• 1 year previous caregiving experience or new graduates are welcome
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check
• Must be able to legally work in Canada to apply for this position
• Valid driver’s license is required
• Immunisation Profile is required.
