Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services is hiring caregivers to support Happier Aging in Edmonton and surrounding areas from private clients in home settings. We welcome caring individuals who value meaningful work and community impact, offering a vibrant team environment.

Roles include meal prep, companionship, and personal care, with flexible shifts to fit your life. Competitive hourly pay, benefits for >30 hours, and 24/7 scheduling support are provided.

Qualifications

• Must communicate verbally and in writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care.
• Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment at all times.
• Work within your experience and knowledge, and perform tasks safely.
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Service Edmonton SW area, including Devon, Beaumont, Leduc, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray.
• Available for day, evening, night shifts; weekdays and weekends; min 3-hour shifts, max 12 hours.

What We Offer

• $17 to $19.50 per hour

Responsibilities And Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• We service the Edmonton SW area, including Devon, Beaumont, Leduc, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray
• Looking for all visit times: day, evening, night shifts, weekdays and weekends ( minimum of 3 hour shifts, maximum of 12 hour shifts )

Requirements

• 1 year previous caregiving experience an asset
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English, other languages are an asset
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check, both completed within the year
• Must be able to legally work in Canada to apply for this position
• Health Care Certifications ( this applies for Health Care Aide, LPN, RN positions )
• Valid Photo ID
