Your future role on our team

Your role will be to participate in engineering, select technology and execute mechanical and multidisciplinary projects in the mining, energy and heavy industry sectors. You’ll be part of our team specialized in thermal systems and industrial building services. You’ll work with experts and be exposed to a wide range of situations to develop your technical skills in pumping, energy recovery, ventilation, heating, air conditioning, plumbing and piping, fire protection, compressed air, dust collection, generators and their fuel for various industrial applications.

With us, you’ll get the opportunity to
  • Actively participate in carrying out small, medium and large multidisciplinary mandates within a work team of engineers and technicians
  • Work with the team on innovation projects involving decarbonization and energy recovery in the industrial sector
  • Design heat recovery systems (HVAC, power systems – cooling and heating loops)
  • Carry out studies and detailed engineering mandates for clients with brownfield or greenfield projects who want to expand their facilities or build new ones
  • Assist experienced staff with the technical aspects of more complex tasks
  • Occasionally coordinate the work of drafters or others at the request of a senior engineer

Summary of certifications and job requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a mechanical engineering or building services program
  • Excellent knowledge of MSOffice Suite and other applications, databases and interfaces
  • Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
  • Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
  • Ability to draft technical documents in both languages
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following fields of application: pumping, building services (HVAC), dust collection and thermal systems
  • Asset: knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, AFTFathom applications
  • Asset: relevant experience in the industrial sector
  • Asset: experience in building services and energy efficiency
