Overview

Join to apply for the Canada Project Procurement Sr Manager role at Westinghouse Electric Company.

About the Role

As a Senior Manager you will be a project leader responsible for large scale Procurement Projects, working with cross-functional teams and standard work to build, execute and report project implementation plans. Lead all procurement activities in assigned programs to assure readiness for pre-PO and post PO to ensure predictive delivery during execution. The Senior Manager will oversee all the procurement activities (pre-PO and post-PO) for Energy Systems projects. Partners with other project leads, WBS Director and other functional teams to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements. Responsible for monitoring active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate. Investigate, coordinate, and communicate project changes. Support the input from clients and development of a sourcing plan that will minimize risks, generate savings, and ensure predictive delivery through projects execution. You will report to the Senior Director, Energy Systems Account Management & Procurement Execution. This position has the opportunity to be remote with the ability to travel (10% to 20%).

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Leadership : Provide guidance to support the team in building a sourcing strategy considering the Total cost of Ownership (Prices / On time Delivery / Quality)
  • Operational Excellence : Develop and implement processes, Standard works within the organization.
  • Cross Functional collaboration : Build “the bridge” with the different department (Engineering, SPE, Global Procurement, internal stakeholders, suppliers) to develop a execution plan in serving our customer.
  • Innovation & Digitalization : Scout the market to identify innovative technologies that create value for the end customer.
Qualifications
  • BA / BS engineering (preferred) or related field.
  • 8 years of project management experience and including min 5 years of large and complex projects (experience in contract / project administration, preferably of large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects).
  • Strong analytic experience & problem-solving ability with high attitude for ownership.
  • A team player collaborating with multiple regions & product lines to serve Westinghouse\'s customers.
  • Experience in International Sourcing and knowledge of supplier base for the nuclear sector is a plus.
  • Strategic & analytical orientation with ability to translate strategy into tangible operational results.
  • Experience running large and complex cross-functional projects.
  • ERP system or similar system experience in a global environment is beneficial (SAP & Ariba).

It is a bona fide job requirement to be eligible and authorized to travel to the U.S. on Westinghouse business, and such travel is subject to the rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Energy, as well as compliance with all applicable U.S. export laws and regulations.
