Job summary

A leading fastener solutions provider located in Breslau, Ontario, is seeking a dynamic candidate for their Supply Chain team. The role involves responsibilities in procurement, sourcing, and inventory management. Ideal candidates will have a post-secondary diploma in Supply Chain Management and 3-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in Automotive, Aerospace, or Defence sectors. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Bilingual candidates and those familiar with fasteners are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years experience of machined and fabricated components, preferably with fasteners and hardware.
  • Experience in Automotive, Aerospace and Defence is preferable.
  • Capable of understanding and interpreting mechanical drawings.
  • Bilingual Spanish and/or Mandarin considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Fasteners considered a benefit.

Responsibilities

  • Procurement of goods required to support ongoing production.
  • Sourcing of parts and material from domestic and global suppliers.
  • Review Open Purchase Orders and proactively follow up with suppliers.
  • Display commitment to the on-time delivery of quality products.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers.

Position Overview

Looking for a dynamic and flexible candidate to join our Supply Chain team who will have a variety of core responsibilities, which will include Purchasing, Sourcing, Expediting and Inventory Analysis / Management activities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Procurement of goods required to support ongoing production and or new product development
  • Sourcing of parts and material from domestic and global suppliers
  • Expedite and de‑expedite parts to meet Inventory Objectives, all warehouse locations
  • Review Open Purchase Orders and proactively follow‑up with suppliers directly to ensure delivery dates are met
  • Display commitment to the on‑time delivery of quality products
  • Managing and Developing Supplier Relationships
  • Negotiate contracts (LTAs and Rebate) and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms
  • Analyzing identifying cost‑saving opportunities and ensuring best value
  • Identify material shortages and communicate risks to stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Create and process reports as required
  • Mitigate Expedited Freight Costs
  • Managing / Coordinating Logistics from Offshore and domestic partnerships
  • Other duties as assigned
