Buildings Lead/Project Manager

We currently have an opening for a Buildings Lead/Project Manager in the Municipal Group in our Saskatoon office. In this position, you utilize your wide breadth of experience in client and project management to service clients in the commercial, municipal, and industrial buildings sector.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Providing a leadership role in the preparation of concepts, designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents, as well as participating in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and inspection
  • Advancing projects through the concept, design, and construction phases
  • Managing existing clients and subconsultants, and developing new clients
  • Delivering projects on budget and within identified schedules
  • Acting as the primary contact for all project-related client communications
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary project team to undertake major building projects
  • Actively engaging in business development and leading & preparing technical and financial proposals as well as marketing material
  • Mentoring and coaching project teams made up of engineers, technologists, and administrative support
  • Engaging in a collaborative work environment working with multi-discipline project teams, across disciplines and offices

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution, in a discipline related to the role
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in good standing with APEGS
  • 7+ years of progressive Engineering experience within the Buildings sector
  • Experience in working with both private and public sector clients and processes
  • Prior knowledge and experience with First Nations projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects of varying scale at one time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor staff on a project basis
  • Ability to work effectively within tight deadlines and schedules
  • Holder of the PMP designation is an asset
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver's license
  • Willingness and ability to travel within SK as required
