Position Information

Location New Westminster/Coquitlam Campus Salary Range
$26.86 per hour (with wage increments to a max of $29.53 per hour). Salary and wage increments are in accordance to the Collective Agreement.

What it takes
  • A minimum of six months' work experience in a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills including written and verbal fluency in the English language.
  • A demonstrated ability to:
    • interact effectively and tactfully with people of various backgrounds and cultures, including students, college employees and the broader community.
    • develop, establish and maintain good working relationships.
    • work as an effective team member.
    • use a wide variety of tools and equipment including power drills, power washers and wet/dry vacuum cleaners.
    • perform physical work related to routine janitorial duties and building maintenance.
    • read basic schematics for locating electrical outlets, related breakers and panels.
  • Hold a valid B.C. driver's license.

Additional Information
  • This temporary, part-time, On-Call position is available effective December 4, 2024.
  • Regular hours of work are varied according to departmental operations (7am - 11pm).
  • Shift days and times may change depending on the Department's need.
  • This position works at both main campuses New Westminster and Coquitlam.
