Qualifications

We are looking for a Building Electrical Engineer in the Atlantic area. As a key player in building electrical projects, the Engineer will contribute to the design of plans and models, perform surveys, and assist the engineering team in the realization of projects in the commercial, industrial, institutional and hospital sectors.

You will work in a dynamic environment, as part of a team of engineers, technicians and drafters, on challenging projects. You will evolve within a passionate team in a context where initiative and trust are strongly encouraged.

Main responsibilities

  • Liaise directly with clients and maintain business relationships
  • Prepare proposal submissions including pricing, agreements, and/or response to RFPs
  • Participate in the electrical design of the building, such as electrical distribution, lighting including AGI32 calculation, fire alarm, etc.
  • Liaise with mechanical team on HVAC system design etc.
  • Make the selection of equipment.
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Prepare specifications
  • Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program
  • Perform building assessments for electrical systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • To be entittled as Professional Engineer by the licensing and regulatory body (ex: Engineers Nova Scotia, PEO, etc.);
  • Need to have demonstrable experience in building electrical systems (electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm, hvac) etc.
  • Knowledge of building electrical codes and regulations
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Good command of Revit and AutoCAD software
  • Knowledge of AGI 32 lighting calculation software (an asset)
  • ASP Construction card (an asset)
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • Proficiency in French (an asset).
