Marcom is the creatively led global team that oversees Apple’s consumer-facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all media and platforms. Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging, and inspiring marketing experiences.Marcom Canada is part of Apple’s global Marketing Communications team and is responsible for all consumer-facing communications, including advertising, apple.com, direct marketing, Apple retail, channel, and partner communications.Brand Managers are also responsible for the direction and oversight of integrated marketing campaigns as well as the strategic marketing efforts required to drive local market opportunities and challenges for the respective products that they lead. This Brand Manager role will be a 14-month fixed contract.

Description

Key responsibilities of the Brand Manager will be to synchronize various functions in support of Apple’s product launches, sustain marketing efforts, and locally originated communications in Canada. The role will collaborate closely across a range of Marcom functional teams including Interactive, Channel, Retail, Partner Communications, as well as Advertising teams. The role will also require strong cross-functional collaboration across other functions such as Product Marketing teams, PR, Retail, and Sales.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive all local market communication activities around the launch and sustain periods of our products as well as local seasonal opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Geo Lead, Product Marketing teams, and the Worldwide teams to establish goals and product strategies for the Canada market.
  • Share regular planning updates and insights with local teams and broader teams on the local Apple business, including sales performance, market share, competitive information, industry happenings, and competitive trends to help guide, advise, and improve our global communications plans and efforts.
  • Act as the key interface between the Headquarter teams and local Marketing teams.
  • Apply a detailed understanding of the creative strategy process and provide leadership to a team of creative directors, producers, and strategists to plan, lead, and implement geo-specific efforts and originations across all consumer touch points.
  • Be the single point of contact for campaigns from an end-to-end process, communications, and materials perspective. This requires representing the local Geo’s needs to Headquarter counterparts while articulating the global strategy to the broader Geo team.
  • Collaborate closely with local agency partners to ensure all deliverables are aligned and accurately implemented, meeting Apple’s high-quality standards.
  • Provide critical communications input and guide all functional areas, including communications for Channel, Interactive, Advertising, and Retail.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in marketing communication forglobal brands working across diverse markets and regions.
  • Experience in categories such as technology, consumer electronics, or premium lifestyle brands.
  • History of working and collaborating with cross-functional teams; comfortable being the key point of contact, providing thought leadership to plan, manage, and execute marketing communications efforts.
  • Experience with creative development process; supporting, understanding, and improving the creative process while balancing the needs of a creatively driven organization.
