Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized program in Biomedical Equipment Technology, or equivalent.
  • Must be eligible for membership in Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of B.C.
  • Previous experience with medical imaging and x-ray equipment is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide biomedical engineering services for medical technology utilization.
  • Evaluate and perform technical evaluations on new medical equipment.
  • Maintain and repair medical equipment in various settings.
  • Manage medical equipment inventory and liaise with vendors.
  • Perform scheduled inspections and tests, maintaining records.
