Role: Cybersecurity Generalist

As a cybersecurity generalist at PwC, you will provide comprehensive security solutions across various domains, maintaining the protection of client systems and data. You will apply a broad understanding of cybersecurity principles to address diverse security challenges effectively.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As a Director of Data Protection, you will lead in helping clients build trust through strong data protection, privacy, and compliance practices. You will guide organizations through complex data trust challenges and lead strategic advisory engagements.

You will collaborate with local and national teams in a supportive environment to help clients solve important business issues from strategy to execution.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading data protection consulting engagements across industries
  • Managing projects, including planning, oversight, budget, and resources
  • Ensuring adherence to PwC risk and quality management processes
  • Engaging in business development activities from lead generation to contract management
  • Evolving our data trust practice with emerging topics like ethical data use, AI, anonymization, and data minimization
  • Building relationships with technology vendors and third parties
  • Building and mentoring a team of data protection consultants
  • Participating in other cybersecurity projects with cross-team collaboration

Skills and experience needed:

  • Knowledge of data security technologies such as encryption, tokenization, data leakage prevention, and deployment of tools like Microsoft Purview
  • Experience developing data security strategies, policies, and standards
  • Ability to evaluate new solutions and build business cases for technology adoption
  • Familiarity with recognized information security/privacy standards
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CRISC are preferred
