Job summary

Fountain Tire Sidney is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles, perform maintenance, and advise on future repairs. The role offers competitive hourly wages and opportunities for bonuses, with a focus on safety and quality service.

Candidate must be a registered 4th year Apprentice or fully licensed/Red Seal, with strong automotive knowledge and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Registered 4th year Apprentice or Licensed/Red Seal in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and service skills.
• Diagnostic specialist familiar with modern technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and commitment to customer experience.
• Valid driver's license with annual abstract from province of residence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions for customers.
• Perform repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Complete approved service on customer vehicles.
• Test and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturer specs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair needs.
• Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regular basis.
• Operate company and customer vehicles safely.
• Respond to customer inquiries to support relationships.

You will get to:

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

What does it take to get on track?

• Must be a registered 4th year Apprentice or fully Licensed/Red Seal in the Automotive Service Technician trade
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers
• A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology
• The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skillsCommitment to providing a superior customer experience
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
