Job summary

Fountain Tire High River (720-11 Ave SE) is seeking a Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The role involves diagnosing vehicle malfunctions, performing repairs, scheduled maintenance, testing and adjusting systems to manufacturer specifications, and advising customers on service needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed/Red Seal status in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and determine necessary repairs.
• Perform repairs with accuracy and efficiency and complete approved service.
• Test and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair needs.
• Maintain service equipment and operate company and customer vehicles safely.
• Support customer relationships by responding to inquiries.

You will get to:

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers

• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
