Job summary

Fountain Tire Sidney is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join our team. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, complete service and test vehicle systems to meet manufacturer specifications, with an emphasis on safety and customer service.

We offer competitive wages ($35–$40/hour) based on experience plus productivity bonuses, a signing bonus after three months, and strong health, dental, and vision benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered 4th year Apprentice or fully Licensed/Red Seal in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
• Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and skills to provide mechanical service to customers.
• Diagnostic specialist with interest in up-to-date technology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract annually.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle.
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles.
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications.
• Performing scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements.
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner.
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries.
