Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced claims professional to quantify, negotiate, and settle total loss vehicles. You will review market values, inspect documentation and photos, and ensure fair, compliant settlements while coordinating with adjusters and body shops.

The role requires strong knowledge of vehicle repair estimates, parts and labour pricing, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Experience in auto claims, appraising, estimating, or related insurance/automotive role.
Strong knowledge of vehicle repair estimates, parts, and labour pricing.
Experience reviewing documentation, photos, and estimates to support accurate claim decisions.
Confidence in negotiation and settlement discussions, particularly related to total loss vehicles.

Responsibilities

Quantify, negotiate, and settle total loss vehicles with Insureds and Third Parties.
Research market values and review documentation to ensure fair and equitable settlements.
Complete required paperwork and regulatory searches related to total loss settlements.
Review DPI estimates for accuracy, including pricing, parts, and labour.
Ensure correct usage of OEM versus aftermarket parts and review independent appraisals when used.
Confirm estimates align with the details of loss by comparing photos, estimate details, and adjuster information.
Address inconsistencies with body shops and vendors by problem-solving and resolving disputes.
Work closely with Adjusters to maintain strong claims handling practices and support timely claim resolution.
Maintain clear, professional communication to support the full claims lifecycle.
