AMA - Alberta Motor Association is seeking an Auto Appraiser – Inside to join our claims team in Edmonton or Calgary. You will quantify, negotiate, and settle total loss vehicles by reviewing DPI estimates, photos, and documentation, collaborating with Adjusters, body shops, and vendors to ensure fair, timely resolutions.

You’ll handle a range of vehicles from autos to RVs and equipment, maintaining thorough, accurate settlements while upholding our commitment to integrity and strong customer

Qualifications

• Experience in auto claims, appraising, estimating, or related insurance/automotive work.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle repair estimates, parts, and labour pricing.
• Experience reviewing documentation, photos, and estimates to support fair claim decisions.
• Confidence in negotiation and settlement discussions for total loss vehicles.
• Excellent communication with Adjusters, body shops, vendors, Insureds, and Third Parties.

Responsibilities

• Quantify, negotiate, and settle total loss vehicles with Insureds and Third Parties.
• Research market values and review documentation for fair settlements.

This role is responsible for handling the quantification, negotiation, and settlement of total loss vehicles through the review of Digital Photo Imaging (DPI) estimates. Ensuring accuracy and alignment with the details of loss is key, and you’ll work with a wide range of vehicles—from personal and commercial automobiles to RVs, watercraft, and farm equipment—while collaborating closely with Adjusters, body shops, and vendors to ensure strong claims handling practices are maintained.

What You Bring To The Table
