What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize PLC systems (Allen‑Bradley, TI, Modicon)
- Program and integrate ABB robots for automated processes
- Design, install, and maintain electrical control systems and network infrastructure
- Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnostics to reduce downtime
- Support commissioning of new equipment and retrofit projects
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions for electrical issues
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of PLC programs, robot configurations, and schematics
- Ensure full compliance with electrical safety standards (LOTO, codes, etc.)
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to improve performance
- Mentor and support technical staff to build in‑house expertise
What You Bring
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 8+ years of North American experience in industrial automation and controls
- Proficiency in Allen‑Bradley RSLogix/Studio 5000, TI Soft, and Modicon platforms
- Strong ABB robot programming and maintenance experience
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, DH+, and Modbus
- Skilled in reading and creating electrical schematics and control circuits
- TPM knowledge and CMMS experience are assets
