A leading insights firm in Toronto is looking for an Associate Research Director / Research Director to drive strategic market research initiatives and mentor junior colleagues. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in market research, strong skills in both quantitative and qualitative methods, and be passionate about unlocking consumer insights. This role offers an opportunity to work with global clients in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Be deeply engaged in all facets of daily business operation, including client relationship management, commitment fulfillment, and staff development for clients, sectors and/or geographies.
  • Assist with developing and leading a team of diverse market researchers.
  • Coordinate with other senior leaders to enhance design and fulfillment processes, including: solution architecture & offer development; operations process & fulfillment / contractor resources; proposal and methodological templates, designs, analysis, and deliverables.
  • Drive an entrepreneurial mindset while remaining highly organized in planning and implementing strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Influence product solution roadmap, market positioning, and future strategic planning.
  • Develop and manage large strategic client relationships and prospect new clients where appropriate.
  • Lead as a positive, collaborative leader who coaches junior colleagues and upholds Reach3’s reputation.
What Reach3 is looking for
  • Aspiring strategic market researcher with exposure to quantitative and qualitative methods including questionnaire design, project management, and data analysis/visualization.
  • Great attention to detail, highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable seeking help when needed.
  • Passion for mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Tech-savvy with experience in online market research methodologies and platforms.
  • Ability to extract insights from data and craft compelling stories; strong data visualization and reporting skills.
  • Passion for unlocking consumer insights to support agile decision making.
Qualifications
  • University or College degree
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience, preferably with a supplier-side organization
  • Experience with sophisticated market research practices across quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Background considerations: supplier-side Consumer Health or Pharma research is highly desired; experiential/sponsorship research; end-to-end project management (questionnaire design, analysis, reporting, and delivery); familiarity with marketing research software; mentoring experience; strong MS Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint) and quick learner of new tech
  • Strong client service orientation and presentation skills
