Job summary

Dollarama in Miramichi, NB is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support the management team in daily store operations and customer service. You will help manage store operations, assist with staff, and ensure a welcoming, efficient shopping environment.

You will handle opening/closing duties, attendance tracking, and participate in hiring and performance management while developing retail and leadership skills within the Dollarama team.

Qualifications

• Approximately one year of relevant experience in the retail industry.
• At least one year in a supervisory role.
• Flexible availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Customer service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the management team in managing store operations and staff.
• Boxing and unboxing daily shipments.
• Stocking daily products on shelves.
• Climbing ladders to reach all areas of the store.
• Providing good customer service and resolving customer issues.
• Ensuring store safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Following up on assigned tasks.
• Conducting manager-on-duty tasks: tracking breaks, time and attendance, and participating in hiring and performance management.
