A reputable mining company in Canada is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for Energy & Infrastructure. This role involves leading a team, upholding safety standards, and overseeing multiple departmental activities in a remote work environment. With over 5 years of supervisory experience required, the ideal candidate will be adept at budget management and supporting team development. The position operates on a fly-in fly-out schedule, ensuring accommodations and meals are provided onsite.

Reporting to the Energy & Infrastructure Superintendent, you will be part of the Energy and Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the Environment.
Assist and support the superintendent in the follow-up of all departmental activities under your responsibility (electrical surface and underground, instrumentation, power plant, building maintenance, surface operations, camp, kitchen, housekeeping services, and MOC projects).
Supporting the establishment of a facilitative work environment;
Supporting the ongoing empowerment and development of the entire team;
Promote the mission and vision of the department and the company;
Ensure best practices and quality control management.
5 years of experience as a General Supervisor/General Foreman or 10+ years of experience managing a large team; experience with budgets; experience supervising trade and/or operational teams in a mining environment; previous training and coaching experience is considered an asset; cultural awareness and understanding of work in the Canadian Arctic is considered an asset. Experience managing remote camp/kitchen activities is considered an asset.
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 10 days of work, followed by 10 days for transportation and rest.
Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
