Dollarama in Ontario seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals.

You will mentor staff, handle merchandising, cash control, and safety, with hands-on direction during peak hours. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in retail and supervisory roles and strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
