Job summary

Dollarama in Niagara Falls, Canada, seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations and achieving sales goals. This role acts as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence and requires strong leadership and customer focus.

You will help with merchandising, staffing, coaching, and ensuring performance standards while maintaining a positive, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily operations and staff management.
• Support merchandising, stocking, and unpacking shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and store opening/closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
