Job summary

Dollarama in Smiths Falls, Ontario, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction and sales, and act as Manager on Duty in the manager's absence.

Candidates will have 2+ years in retail with 2+ years in supervisory roles, open availability, strong leadership and communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
