Job summary

Dollarama in Quebec City area is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, ensure customer satisfaction, and help meet sales goals. You will act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, merchandising, training, cash handling, opening/closing duties, and enforcing safety. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills with open availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
