Job summary

Dollarama in Laval, QC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction, and help achieve sales goals while ensuring a safe and welcoming store environment.

In this role you will supervise staff, assist with merchandising, stock handling, store opening/closing duties, and training; you will mentor employees, conduct performance feedback, and enforce policies and visual standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
