Athabasca University's Faculty of Business is recruiting for a full-time permanent Assistant/Associate Professor, Organizational Behavior.
About the Faculty:

The Faculty of Business is a major AACSB-accredited business school in Canada, offering programs at the Bachelor's, Master's, Postgraduate Diploma, and Doctoral levels. The Faculty is dedicated to supporting students, the business community, and society through outstanding, innovative, and accessible business education.

The Position:

The Faculty of Business at Athabasca University (AU) invites applications for an interdisciplinary research professor in Organizational Behavior. As a leading open and online university, AU seeks scholars committed to online learning, impactful research, and supporting diverse learners through flexible, distance-based education.

The successful candidate will maintain a strong interdisciplinary research program with a foundation in organizational behavior, contribute to the scholarly reputation of the Faculty of Business, secure external research funding, and will design and teach high-quality online courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Research Component:
  • Engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary research initiatives in the field of organizational behavior.
  • Publish in peer-reviewed journals in management, organizational studies, or related fields.
  • Pursue external grants and national and international research partnerships.
Teaching Component:
  • Design and teach online courses in organizational behavior, leadership, and managing organizational change.
  • Design and teach special topic courses such as Understanding Organizational Behavior from an Evolutional Perspective, and the Role of Gene-Environment Interactions on Organizational Decision Making.
  • Develop, revise, and maintain online video lectures and print materials.
  • Mentor undergraduate, master's, and/or doctoral students in research and applied projects.
Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Organizational Behavior Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Assistant Professor candidates must demonstrate teaching and research potential.
  • Associate Professor candidates must demonstrate teaching excellence and a successful publishing record.
  • Industry or management experience is considered an asset.
  • Commitment to collegiality and to teaching in an online learning environment.
  • Previous online teaching experience is considered an asset.

This full-time position is located in Alberta.
