Job summary

Pfaff Automotive Partners Inc. is seeking an Apprentice Technician for Volkswagen of Newmarket in Newmarket, ON. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship to develop automotive repair skills, with a clear path toward journeyman certification (310S) under experienced supervision.

The program emphasizes learning, safety, and customer service excellence while aligning with Pfaff's growth within North America’s largest automotive retailer network.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or vocational equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited provincial journeyman's program with the goal to earn full journeyman certification as an automotive repair technician (310S) or provincial equivalent.
• Working knowledge of technical repairs and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform work as outlined on repair order under the supervision of a Licensed Technician with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership, factory and warranty policies and procedures.
• Discuss any problems related to the repair with their supervising Technician or Service Manager.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and maintenance records.
• Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Review all repairs with a Supervising Technician.
• Perform other duties as required by leadership.

Pay: $19.00-$28.00/hour based on qualifications and experience
