Job summary

Pfaff Automotive Partners is seeking an Apprentice Technician at Volkswagen of Newmarket in Newmarket, ON. The role offers hands-on training under a Licensed Technician, with mentorship and the chance to grow within a Fortune 500 automotive retailer network.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a provincial journeyman's program (310S) with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have knowledge of automotive repairs and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or vocational equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited provincial journeyman's program with the goal to earn full journeyman certification as an automotive repair technician (310S) or provincial equivalent.
• Working knowledge of technical repairs and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform work as outlined on repair order under the supervision of a Licensed Technician with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership, factory and warranty policies and procedures.
• Discuss any problems related to the repair with their supervising Technician or Service Manager.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and maintenance records.
• Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Review all repairs with a Supervising Technician.
• Perform other duties as required by leadership.

Pay: $19.00-$28.00/hour based on qualifications and experience
