Job summary

Fernwood Neighbourhood House in Victoria, BC is seeking a School-Aged Worker to provide engaging, safe, and inclusive programming for school-aged children in before- and after-school programs. The role involves developing developmentally appropriate activities, monitoring behaviour, and supporting children with diverse needs while collaborating with families and staff.

Required: Grade 12, Education Assistant cert, First Aid, and a Vulnerable Sector Check; 16.25 hours/week with a flexible

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate activities for school-aged children in before/after school programs.
• Develop daily schedules balancing indoor/outdoor and active/quiet activities.
• Monitor behaviour and ensure safety and well-being.
• Provide support for children with diverse abilities and needs.
• Maintain records and collaborate with families and colleagues.
