Description

Gitxaala Environmental Services (GES) is actively recruiting for an Administrator to join our team in Prince Rupert, BC, and who is interested in joining a growing environmental and marine services consultancy. This role will also involve administration work for Gitxaala Enterprise Corporation. We\'re looking for candidates with a diploma or degree in business administration, natural resources management, or who have equivalent experience. The ideal candidate would have at least one year of experience in a similar position. This job requires a self-starter with attention to detail and flexibility in assisting both technical and management staff. Our team is situated across British Columbia with a focus on coastal project work involving environmental management, studies, and monitoring. The successful candidate will be focused on office and equipment coordination, supporting the management team with human resources functions, and tracking staff training and certifications. The role will provide a dynamic and exciting opportunity for career and professional growth alongside our team of environmental professionals. This is a full-time, permanent position with 35 to 40 hours of work per week, generally during normal business hours. The wage for this position is $22.50 to $27.50 per hour, commensurate with experience. Only candidates currently resident and legally able to work in Canada will be considered for this position. An initial interview will be organized for selected candidates. This posting will remain open until filled.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience (1 to 3 years) in performing administrative support functions;
  • A diploma or degree in business administration or natural resources management, or equivalent experience;
  • Experience with monitoring instrumentation an asset;
  • An interest in environmental management and monitoring considered an asset as opportunities to grow in this field are possible;
  • Access to a personal vehicle and have a valid BC class 5 driver\'s license is considered a strong asset.
