Salary: $17.60 - $20/ hour

Position Summary

At Quick Scrap, we are looking for passionate people to join our Operations team. As an Admin-Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing administrative and accounting functions within the organization. The successful candidate must possess 2–3 years of relevant experience in the scrap metal industry, with a demonstrated ability to manage financial records, ensure compliance, and support day-to-day business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals related to scrap metal transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Oversee administrative operations, including documentation, permits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support payroll processing and employee record management.
  • Monitor scrap metal inventory, pricing, and market trends.
  • Ensure accuracy in weighing, billing, and reporting of scrap materials.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in the scrap metal industry (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and industry-specific practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with scrap metal pricing, grading, and compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
