Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of the Youth Mental Health and Addictions team, and the Youth Addictions Supervisor, the Clinical Addictions Counsellor Youth provides ongoing assessment, counselling, case management, to youth struggling with substance use and their families. In addition the Clinical Addictions Counsellor Youth identifies and treats the effects of substance use of the youth and the family system as a whole. Using the skills and knowledge required for this position, the counsellor works with youth and parents to provide comprehensive evidence based treatment plan. The Youth Addictions Counsellor provides individual, group and family parent counselling. Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
