What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Team Leader CRB/UK Accounts Payable, this role is responsible for accurate, timely and complete processing of accounts payable transactions. Identifies and escalates issues for problem resolution. With a continuous improvement mindset look for opportunities for process improvement or fixing gaps/service issues within accounts payable function. All responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the Code of Conduct, RBC Values and Guiding Principles.

This is a 6‑month contract role.

What will you do?
  • Process accounts payable transactions ensuring they are timely, accurate and complete.
  • Ensure all accounts payable transactions contain valid information for input, identify and follow escalation protocol for those that don’t.
  • Follow policy and internal procedures/processes ensuring all controls are met and adhered to.
  • Participate in the identification and resolution of issues and concerns, helping to identify root cause of issues and proposing ideas to resolve.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by proactively identifying, recommending and helping implement solutions.
  • Provide consistent and high‑quality service within established benchmarks, contributing to the achievement of service levels (SLA’s and KPI’s).
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable
  • University or college degree or certificate in Accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of applications, intermediate Excel.
  • Ability to operate efficiently in a fast‑paced and changing environment.
  • Good communication, good organizational skills and ability to prioritize activities to ensure objectives are met.
