Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our growing team. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, tax support, and compliance work for multiple clients across different industries. This position is ideal for someone who wants hands‑on exposure, continuous learning, and growth in a professional accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts for multiple clients
  • Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist with corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns
  • Handle GST/HST registration, filings, and reconciliations
  • Support payroll processing and statutory remittances
  • Assist with CRA correspondence, audits, and reviews
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting and tax regulations
  • Coordinate with senior accountants and managers on assignments
  • Maintain proper documentation and working papers
Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience (accounting firm experience preferred)
  • Good understanding of Canadian accounting principles and tax basics
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude
  • CPA students or candidates pursuing CPA are encouraged to apply
