Overview

THE FOLLOWING LONG TERM OCCASIONAL TEACHING POSITION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE:

Qualifications
  • Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Intermediate and Senior basic qualifications, as well as Intermediate Mathematics, Intermediate Geography, and Religious Education qualifications.
  • When there are two or more required qualifications listed for a position, the applicant must have at least two of the required qualifications to be considered qualified for the position.
  • Applicants who hold the specified qualifications will be given priority. If no applicants internal or external after the second posting hold all required qualifications, applicants with partial qualifications will be considered.

In accordance with the Central Terms of the Collective Agreement related to Hiring Practices, filling of long-term occasional assignments will occur without an in-person interview. The Board will staff long-term assignments from the 3 most senior qualified applicants who are available for the assignment, if there are no supernumerary teachers or teachers declared redundant who are placed into this long-term assignment.
