Job summary

GEP is seeking a Sr. Sourcing Lead in São Paulo to join our managed services team. You will partner with clients and internal teams to plan and execute strategic sourcing initiatives using a multi-step process.

The role requires 5-7 years in strategic sourcing, strong English, and robust negotiation and project-management skills. You will drive supplier selection, cost optimization, and adherence to client standards, while contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of strategic sourcing experience.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree required.

What you will do

At GEP, we arelooking to continue our growth trajectory byexpanding our talented managed services team. As a Sr. Sourcing Lead, you willpartner with our client and internal teams and manage the planning andexecution of strategic sourcing initiatives using a multi-step sourcingprocess.

• Execute complex and strategic sourcing projects ofcategories/sub-categories to include: translating business requirements intoclear statements of Work, solicits bids, leads auctions.
• Prepare negotiation scripts and negotiate with suppliers, makerecommendations, help on-board, qualifies and contracts with new vendor andensures compliance
• Apply and translate business expertise to breakthrough thinkingthat significantly impacts the clients long-term strategic position, thoughtleaders
• Manage and optimize functional sourcing support activities whileensuring adherence to clients’ corporate standards.
• Engage with internal & external business partners to ensurethat decisions are based on the broad scope of the organization and achieveoptimum daily execution
• Manage project allocation, support team members and share bestpractices
• Monitor performance satisfaction, ensuring all SLAs accountablefor are met and drive continuous improvement initiatives, participate inrecruitment
• Support category managers with category strategy plans, sourcingexecution; support category planning and strategic sourcing tasks
• Leverage the GEP network of Category Experts and tools, todeliver insights to any project/client

What you should bring

• Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Science, Business orEngineering or similar stream or a combination of relevant experience.
• Experience: 5-7 years of expertise in strategicsourcing.Knowledge of the principles and practices of large-scalecentralized purchasing.
• Languages:Fluent in English (spoken andwritten). Spanish is a plus.

OTHER SKILLS

• You should possess strong sourcing skills, including sourcingmethodology and process, e-Sourcing technology, RFX development andmanagement.
• Familiarity with various best practice sourcing approaches andtechniques.
• You should have the ability to facilitate a total cost ownershipdiscussion with a client team and identify total cost elements.
• Strong ability to handle client issues and escalations withsensitivity and diligence, eliminating a need for further escalation.
• Proficiency in using e-Sourcing tools.
• Excellent project management skills including project planning,time management, multitasking and critical path definition.
• Strong customer service orientation including demonstratedcommunication during issue resolution and relationship management skills.
• Willingness to learn and master client specific processes,terminology, political environment, systems and unique requirements by variousbusiness groups.
• Solid decision-making and problem-solving ability usingavailable facts in sensitive client situations
